Royal Icing Recipe

Servings: 1

Description

Royal Icing Recipe: Stick to whatever brand's recipe you are using as they all vary a little.... This batch makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

Cooking Mode Disabled

Instructions

  1. Combine powdered sugar and meringue powder in a mixing bowl and mix in together. Put into mixer with the paddle attachment. Start on low speed and incorporate 1 Tablespoon of water at a time until all 5 Tablespoons of water have been added. Increase the speed up to medium and after about a minute switch to the whisk attachment to incorporate some air. Whip for 3 minutes, it should be nice and fluffy and ready to use. As you go to pipe you will need to thin it out using little bits of water until you find the consistency you are looking for. For the outline of a cookie the icing would be thicker, for filling a cookie it will need a little more water for a thinning. Enjoy & have fun!!!
